The Buffalo Holiday Market is turning a new page. Front Park is one of the most storied and scenic spaces in all of Buffalo, and we are thrilled to bring our community together in it. Front Park sits on 50 acres along the Lake Erie waterfront with sweeping views of the Niagara River opening. It's the kind of backdrop that makes a spring market feel like an occasion, not just a shopping trip. Bring your mom, bring a blanket, and enjoy the views between vendor stops.
Below are answers to the questions we've been hearing. If yours isn't here, reach out.
General / Guest FAQs
1. Why is the market moving?
We’re growing! Front Park gives us more space to expand vendors and create a more open, springtime experience. We're not leaving history behind, we're stepping into a different chapter of it. Front Park is part of Frederick Law Olmsted's original 1868 vision for Buffalo and sits on the National Register of Historic Places. You're shopping inside a park that the same mind behind Central Park designed specifically as Buffalo's ceremonial public gathering space. It doesn't get more fitting than that. We needed more room, plain and simple. Front Park lets us grow the vendor roster, improve the overall flow of the event, and give everyone, vendors and guests alike, a better experience.

Absolutely, and here's why we're confident. Front Park is actively managed and stewarded by the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy, a nonprofit organization with a dedicated team maintaining the park for community use year round. As a permitted, staffed event, the Buffalo Holiday Market will have on site security and event staff throughout the day. Large daytime events naturally bring their own energy and safety through sheer community presence, and a Mother's Day market drawing hundreds of families is no exception. We've done our homework on this location and we're proud to bring the market to one of Buffalo's most beautiful and historically significant public spaces.

Vendor FAQs
1. Why are you moving locations?
Growth + opportunity + ability to add more vendors.
2. Are there more vendor spots?
Yes! Expanding capacity was one of the main reasons for the move. If you have been on the waitlist or turned away before, now is the time to apply.
4. Will this be in chalets?
Yes - previously booked vendors will be in chalets, but additional spots will be tented. We are keeping the same market feel you are used to.
5. What about foot traffic compared to Richardson?
We hear this one a lot and we feel really good about it. Front Park draws consistent community traffic as part of one of the most visited park systems in the city. We are also doing our full marketing push behind this event, same as always. The thing that has always driven traffic to our market is the market itself, the vendors, the variety, the atmosphere, and that is not changing.
6. What about weather exposure?
Weather Happens, our outdoor market weather policies remain.
7. What are load-in/load-out logistics?
This is actually one of the things we are most excited about. Load in and vendor parking will be much smoother at Front Park than at Richardson. Full details will go out directly to confirmed vendors before the event.
